Prepare to fight! Solstice
Arena is the first speed MOBA (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena), from ZYNGA and what a great little game it is.
The game itself is fun,
well balanced and competitive with something to benefit casual and hard core
players alike.
It is free to play with
the usual options to buy new heroes, but it is in no way a pay to win
experience. You could easily never spend a penny on this game and still be competitive.
Players will have to earn their Hero upgrades over time with the payment option
being reserved for Hero customisation.
Each hero has their own
special abilities and will be helpful in different situations. Their abilities
and armour can be customised to your preference and situation.
The game play itself is
fast-paced (as you would expect from a speed MOBA!) 3v3 tactical fighting where
the aim is simply to destroy the enemy's base before the enemy destroys yours!
The average match lasts
around 5 - 15 minutes, making it perfect for mobile devises whilst you are on
the train on your morning commute.
The game modes consist
of Single player (Solo vs. Bots), Real-time Multiplayer (Player vs. Player and
Co-op vs. Bots). So you can invite friends through the usual social networking options,
play with and against them or team up with them to play against random players
or against bots. There are also varying difficulties for new and experienced
players.
All in all it is a great
MOBA whether you are a seasoned Pro or new to the genre there is something for
you with this game. I really enjoyed playing this game and will be keeping it
on my mobile devises and my PC. There is nothing really that I disliked about
it. It is both simple and strategic, at the same time as being fast and fun,
well done Zynga!
Solstice Arena is free to download from STEAM or the IOS/Android
App store, and is well worth a download.
